BIOGRAPHY
Eleanor Somerville is an emerging multifaceted producer and screen professional. Graduating from Griffith Film School in 2022, her production portfolio includes live-action, documentary, and commercial work, with her films garnering acclaim on an international level. She excels at overseeing projects from concept to completion, leading creative teams with a hands-on approach and unbridled enthusiasm.
Passionate about championing bold, unconventional storytelling, she co-founded Misplaced Curiosities—a non-profit collective dedicated to creating films that struggle to find an avenue within traditional industry pathways.
The earnings from Misplaced Curiosities' 2023 ventures funded The Scatterer (dir. Felix Lovell), which premiered at SXSW Sydney, earning a BBIFF Young Australian Filmmaker of the Year Nomination. Their second film, Flesh Fruit (dir. Madison Hislop-Stoessel), a body horror drama set against the backdrop of the 2011 Queensland floods, is currently in post-production.
